Susan Black joined Faiss Foley Warren Public Relations at its inception in 1998 and has a lead role in many of the agency’s largest accounts including the Southern Nevada Water Authority, Cox Communications and Pardee Homes.
She has developed comprehensive public outreach programs and public information advertisements as well as managed media schedules and placement on behalf of the SNWA’s water quality and resource planning initiatives and helps manage the Water Conservation Coalition, whose mission is to help increase water-efficient business practices in Southern Nevada. She serves as a key advisor to the public affairs department at Cox Las Vegas, assisting in the development and implementation of marketing communications and community relations initiatives that have been recognized with the cable industry’s highest honors.
On behalf of Pardee Homes’ Southern Nevada Division, Susan plans and implements special events ranging from a half-marathon and 50K at Coyote Springs, Nevada to neighborhood grand openings and company events and coordinates ongoing public relations and social media efforts.
Susan began her career as an account executive at the former Merica Dickerson Agency, where she worked on many of the firm’s retail, travel and consumer-related accounts, including market introductions for Ocean Spray Cranberries, Inc., Hallmark Cards, Inc., Washington Mutual and Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. She also has extensive experience in the development industry, representing a number of home building clients over nearly two decades.
She is a past-president of the Las Vegas Valley Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America and 2004 graduate of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Las Vegas program. She is on the marketing committee for the Las Vegas Natural History Museum, is a member of PRSA and the Association of Cable Communicators and involved with the St. Viator Catholic School Foundation and Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada. She has received numerous industry awards on behalf of her clients.
A graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno with a journalism degree, she is married to Steve Manriquez and together they have two daughters.
